Open ID is a single sign-on identity system for the Web that lets people use a single username and password to log in and authenticate themselves to Open ID-compliant Web sites. Users need not remember the account details like user name and password for logging on the site. Instead, they only need to be registered with any Open ID "identity provider" (IdP).
Open ID is increasingly gaining adoption among large sites, with organizations like AOL, BBC, Google, IBM, Microsoft, MySpace, Orange, Yahoo etc, acting as providers.
You have to specify the IdPs that you trust the most, to allow user registered with the specified providers to access the system. This will help the user with Open ID to login easily.
